This post is a summary of what we’ve learned from our recent research and interviews with successful marketers. We’ll walk through the key points that can help everyone, regardless of industry or type of website, increase conversions on their site. In this post, I am going to walk you through 11 steps for increasing your conversions using CRO strategies that work across all industries and types of websites.
Step #01 – Determine Goals From The Start – To figure out where to start, it’s always good to start by identifying your goals.
Step #02 – Optimize Your Header Tags – People read titles and headers before anything else on a page, so you want to make sure they contain relevant keywords that people might be searching for when looking for content like yours. In addition, the H tags help determine how high up in search engine results pages (SERPs) your post will appear. The higher up it appears, the more traffic you’ll get from Google searches or other search engines.
Start with an H tag containing your most important keyword phrase–this should always be at least two words long and include both “headline” as well as one of your primary keywords: “<hx id= ‘key as “header” to provide a blueprint for all other H tags on your site.
Step #03 – Optimize Your Title Tags – Just as important as the H tag is your title, or headline, which will appear in search engine listings. When people see that first line of text they’ll often either click through to read more about what you’ve written or keep scrolling down the page. You want them clicking! The better this content performs, the higher ranking it will receive and thus be seen by even more people who might convert into customers–or repeat readers!–so make sure it’s catchy with keywords at its core.
It should also include some basic formatting such as initial capitalization (i.e . The Importance of Keywords) or italics (i.e. Search Engine Optimization).
Step #04 – Use Schema Markup on Your Website Content – While you may be writing in English, your audience could come from anywhere! There are over seven billion people around the globe who speak one hundred and fifty different languages–that’s a lot more than we can count out loud!–so it’s important to use an alternate language for some sections of text.”
Step #05 – Add a Call-to-Action at the Top of Each Page – This is one of the most important conversion rate optimization strategies because if you want to increase your website visitors, you need to tell them what they should do next!
