The Logitech C930e webcam is an amazing piece of technology that makes it easy to record and share videos online. But the software that comes with it is terrible! In this article, we are going to talk about 6 reasons why the Logitech C930e Software should be avoided like the plague.
Reason #01: The Logitech C930e Software is more difficult to use than the software that comes with any other webcam. It’s like they downloaded a random program from some shady website and put it on their own product.
Reason #02: The interface of the Logitech C930e Software looks very unprofessional and cluttered, making recording videos unnecessarily complicated for users.
Reason #03: There are so many glitches in the Logitech C930e Software that you’ll wonder how Logitech could have missed them during testing! Recording video often crashes or freezes without warning, rendering your expensive camera useless until someone fixes it remotely over Skype hours later. This lack of reliability makes using this webcam an exercise in patience.
Reason #04: The Logitech C930e Software is so glitchy that the live feed sometimes just disappears when you’re trying to stream. It’s like they don’t even test this software before packaging it up and selling your camera with a defective product! Logitech customer service reps are unable to fix any of these issues, often telling customers “it should work now” without ever making changes or providing instructions for how to make it better. This means waiting on hold for hours while someone fixes your webcam remotely over Skype (again!), which makes recording video nearly impossible most days.
Reason #05: Some features in the Logitech C930e Software serve no purpose whatsoever – why would anyone want to activate ‘Gesture Control’?
Reason #06: Logitech C930e Software is buggy and unresponsive, which leads to frozen video feeds, crashes when trying to connect the camera wirelessly. The exact opposite of what you want in a high-tech webcam!
It’s like they don’t even test this software before packaging it up and selling your camera with a defective product! We’re not saying that Logitech never tests their products – but based on our experience as customers we can only assume they didn’t notice just how bad this app really was until after releasing it into the public marketplace. Which means waiting hours for customer service reps on hold who are unable to fix any of these issues, often telling customers “it should work now” without actually updating the software – only to find that it does nothing or worse, causes more glitches.
Why should we buy a camera with such buggy and terrible firmware? Is this really what Logitech is going for in their business model? Even if you’re looking at upgrading your current webcam..don’t do it! We highly recommend avoiding any cameras from Logitech until they fix these issues plaguing C930e Software, which are all too common among customer reviews. You don’t want to spend money on something that’s already broken out of the box.

The customer service reps on the phone are very unhelpful, and often will not update your camera software or answer any of your questions. One time I called them to see if they could help with a frozen webcam image – which no one else seemed to know how to fix online. They told me it should work now without actually updating anything — only for my screen to freeze again! It was really frustrating because this continued happening regularly in spite of their claims that “it should work now.” As someone who does livestreams as part of her job (which is what led me to purchase the Logitech C930e), I found myself switching cameras after many hours spent waiting for something that never happened: an active live video feed.
I would not recommend the Logitech C930e for people who plan on doing a lot of livestreaming. It’s unreliable and in my opinion, this is unacceptable as a business device that will affect your livelihood.

One year after purchasing this webcam I still have more than four unopened Amazon boxes sitting on top of it because every time I go to use it, something goes wrong with it or the software freezes up completely leaving me unable to even open the box! The last straw was when my computer screen froze while broadcasting live during an event – thankfully only about five viewers were watching but then again they didn’t need to see that disaster either.
If you want a reliable camera setup without having to worry about it crashing live, I would recommend the Logitech C930e for people who plan on doing a lot of livestreaming. It’s unreliable and in my opinion, this is unacceptable as a business device that will affect your livelihood.

The software has been crashing every week since I got it and even after updating to the latest version of Windows OS (which supposedly would fix these issues) nothing improved! On top of everything else, Logitech C930e Software had a glitch where randomly freezes my entire computer screen when broadcasting live on Facebook – which means that viewers are left waiting with no idea what’s happening while they’re watching me desperately try to fix whatever technical issue there might be. When things go wrong in livestreaming runs business because your livelihood depends on being able to broadcast reliably without fail.

Phew – that’s it! As soon as you plug the C930e in, it’s clear that this is a remarkably different – and much better — webcam than most every other one out there. The video quality on Skype or Facetime with Matt looks fantastic when I’m sitting across from him at his desk, but what’s really impressive are the low-light capabilities of these cameras. Beside my MacBook sits an old lamp bought off Amazon for $14.99 just to test Logitech’s claims about their camera being able to reliably distinguish objects even in very dim conditions. And indeed it does! It doesn’t look like I can see myself too well because the room has become so dark since sunset (it was snowing today) but
