The Prince’s of Tennis is a popular anime series about tennis players who attend the prestigious Seishun Academy. The main character, Ryoma Echizen, transfers to this school and quickly becomes one of the best players in Japan. The show has been airing since 2003, so there are numerous episodes that have aired over the last decade. To make it easier for viewers to find the episode they want to watch, I created this comprehensive list!
Ryoma Echizen, the main character, is introduced in episode one. He starts practicing tennis with a friend and decides to attend Seishun Academy so he can play competitively at an international level.
The show features several tournaments throughout its seasons; however, only tournament episodes are listed below:
Pro Junior Tournament (episodes 22 – 33)
National Tournament Preliminaries (episodes 34 – 43)
Nationals Finals against Hyotei Academy Team A (episode 44)
Nationals finals encore match against Kaiou’s team B for possession of Tezuka Kunimitsu Memorial Cup (episode 45). This was the last season that aired before they announced it would be coming back for a second season.
There are ninety-nine episodes in the “Prince’s of Tennis” series.
The first episode is called “Dream Live,” and it was published on October 12th, 2000 by Shueisha.
It follows Ryoma Echizen as he begins his journey to become Japan’s best player following a conversation with his father about proving himself worthy of being considered for enrollment at Seishun Academy which has been established expressly for just such an ambition. It is this goal that drives him forward through many adventures throughout the course of the show including encounters with other characters from both inside and outside of tennis who all have something different to teach him about life along the way.
This anime features memorable moments like when In ui takes on Ryoma in his first full match and is defeated with the blazing serve. It also presents its viewers with memorable characters like Oishi who constantly stands up for what he believes to be right even against those more powerful than him, or Tezuka Kunimitsu whose cool facade covers a passionate heart that she will never show to anyone but her teammates.
The “Prince’s of Tennis” series has 151 episodes over the course of six seasons spanning from 2000-2009 which are available streaming on Crunchyroll. The final episode was aptly titled “Dream Live – Again” as it revisited all of our favorite moments from season one while showing how far we have come since then before concluding at long last by saying goodbye to Seigaku and the team of princes that we have come to love.
The first season was introduced with an episode from later in the series, “Winners’ Cup! The Biggest Crisis Ever!!” _ as it showed just how much Seigaku had grown through their training match against Rikkai Dai. It then went on to introduce us to Tezuka Kunimitsu who would be our protagonist for this long-running franchise before introducing Fuji Yuuta a year into his new life at Seigaku as he entered junior high school along with Miyagi Ryo – Oishi Shuichiro where they were met by Inui Sadaharu who became one of their teammates shortly after arriving _ following him around and asking him seemingly innocuous questions to gauge his strength.
The most notable event that took place in the first season was Sanada Genichirou’s decision not to take the role of captain for Seigaku tennis club and instead; he gave this responsibility over to Tezuka Kunimitsu who had just returned from abroad where he studied with the intention of becoming a coach due to how calm, cool, and collected he is at all times. One night after training – while Fuji Yuuta is sleeping on the courts – Inui Sadaharu returns late at night as well but only after having been talked into staying by Oishi Shuichiro because they were worried about how tired he seemed when compared against before and it turns out that he had been sleepless for three days straight without food or rest.
The second season of the Prince’s of Tennis is set to start on October 13, 2006 after a year-long hiatus with new teams joining Rikkai Dai and Seigaku while old friends are reunited again in Osaka’s Rokkaku Academy as they all prepare for the upcoming National High School Tournament which will be held at Hyotei Gakuen this time around. The story centers largely on Ryoma who has returned from America where his skills have improved greatly thanks to constant training under Alex Louis Armstrong – one of the instructors there – and how much that may affect their chances against rivals such as Seishun (which was formerly known as Fud
