I’m not sure if you’ve heard this, but the dothan technology center here in Dothan, Alabama is actually a really cool project. They’re currently expanding the location with a bigger building, and as a result, the building is getting more and more “technology-y.
It doesn’t get more techy than this. We met with the developers this weekend and a few other folks in the industry to see the building’s progress. The next big thing is a 4-hour long “tech show” that we were told would happen every day.
This seems like the sort of thing that would make for an awesome event for Dothan, Alabama’s tech community. But the event is just a week away from now, so I’ll update you all when it happens.
I think this is a great idea. Dothan tech has a lot of potential and it would be cool if they could do something that looked like a tech show.
When I visited the Dothan tech center in the summer of 2007, I was blown away by the amount of technology that had been developed for the area. Dothan is not the only place in the country to have such a presence, but it’s definitely the place to be for innovative technology in the area.

One of its latest talks, “Future of Technology,” was the first talk that I have ever seen at a tech center. It was hosted by the folks at SVA, a company that builds tech centers and events around the country. The talk was about the future of technology, tech, and the future of technology. The talk was a lot of fun and covered a lot of topics, but it was the most entertaining talk I have ever attended.
There were some funny moments too. For instance, one of the topics discussed was the possibility of one day having computers with artificial intelligence. I think that it would have been really cool to have a computer with humanlike eyes walking around and talking to us, but I guess that could never happen though.
