I would love to give this post a 5 star rating from an unbiased source because I think it is the best (and most honest) post I have ever read. I have a lot of issues with my current position because I have been with my company for too long. However, it is a great opportunity to move on to new opportunities and gain new skills. I’m learning so quickly and am proud of the progress I am making.

There are a number of good reasons to go into a new position. It gives you time to figure out your job, to think about your new career goals, and to figure out how to be a good manager. However, if you do your job badly then you could end up paying off your boss with your current job.

I agree. It can be very tempting to believe you have a great job, and that you should be paid just the right amount per hour. However, I think you should be prepared to look at your current job as a learning experience. The more you use your time in the company, the more you can learn about the company and the job you have. As a result, I think you should probably look at some other positions.
I think part of the reason package salaries are so high is that so many companies hire people who lack the skills to succeed. I would argue that package salaries are a reflection of this.
