I have been fortunate enough to attend a couple of thought-provoking meetings. It is a bit like going to a movie and watching the movie in a theater. You are not in the seat that the movie is being filmed in, but you are in the seat that the movie is being projected in.
Well, that would be a unique movie experience if I could just be in a theater for any movie, but I can get to the theater I want to go to. I can see the movie I want to see, or I can just send a link to the theater I want to go to. The idea is to have a mechanism that makes it possible for me to go to a movie I want to see when I want to go to a movie I want to see.
Imagine technology group takes the idea to the next step and combines it with a service that lets you send a link to a theater you want to go to. This would be a pretty awesome service if it actually worked, but it does not. Instead, the technology group is looking for an ideal solution to a problem that could really enhance the experience: the fact that you can’t go to a movie you want to see when you want to go to a movie you want to see.
This could be quite a big deal for independent theaters in the U.S. because movies are one of the most valuable assets in our economy. The independent cinema industry is an enormous industry and a lot of good (and profitable) movies are lost to piracy. If we could find a way to make it possible for us to go to a movie we want to see whenever we want to go to a movie we want to see, we’d be creating a huge new market for independent theaters.
In other words, we’re not talking about the future of cinema here. We’re talking about a new technology that will allow us to go to movies we want to see, but without the big hassle of having to set up an appointment to see the movie.
Imagine a future where you can go to a movie theater and see a movie you want to see whenever you want to see it, all the while having the option to see a movie you also want to see without having to wait in line for a ticket. Think about it.
Think about the possibilities. Imagine a world where you can go to a movie theater and see a movie you want to see whenever you want to see it, but you don’t have to wait in line. Imagine a world where you can see movies when you want to see them, but the theaters also have a feature that lets you see movies that you don’t know you want to see because you can just check a box and skip the process.
In a world where that’s possible, everyone will be able to see movies together and see them whenever they want. Imagine that. The world will be so much better.
I know that the idea of a one-stop-shopping movie theater is pretty awesome. Imagine how awesome it would be if it was all in one place. It’s a problem if, say, your favorite movie is in another part of the country, and you just can’t go to the theater to see it because you’re in a rush and you have to take the bus home. You could just check out the movie. Imagine that.
