I’ve been working in the industry for over a decade now. To me, that sounds like a pretty good goal, but that’s because I don’t really understand why it’s important. I think most people just think that it is, but I think it actually affects sales.
Marketing and sales analytics are the two most important things you can do to grow your business. They are how you track what your customers are doing, and how you can turn that data into actions that will increase sales. For example, Ive been putting together a spreadsheet that allows me to track the number of leads Ive generated from each social media platform, the number of times people said their message, how many times Ive opened their ad, etc etc.
That’s awesome. You can use this information to send out emails, follow up with phone calls, and so forth. The more you can track these metrics, the more successful you will be. I do this for my own marketing business because I really want to see if Ive been successful at what I do.
