I think the word “mars” is a misnomer. I think the term “mar(s) marketing simulation” is much more apt. Mars is a major player in the global food industry. Just like the food industry, the marketing of food is big business. Mars is trying to make one of the most important marketing innovations of the 21st century, Mars Marketing Simulation, a game that teaches you how to plan, track, and analyze your marketing activities.
The biggest problem with Mars Marketing Simulation is that it seems to have been abandoned by many of the developers. And like most of the other game development software, it’s never completed. So if you ever want to play this game, you can’t. It’s currently in Beta. Mars Marketing Simulation is a really interesting game, and a great example of what games are about in the current economic climate.

Our experience playing Mars Marketing Simulation was not only fascinating, but was also really challenging – and I think that was exactly what the developers were going for. The development team has been busy adding marketing tools and functionality to it, so we are working on making it easier to create your own unique marketing strategy!
