Harbingers is a Trading Card Game that has been on the market for a few years now, and we are excited to share our newest tier list! This year, it seems that there was no clear favorite faction- all four factions had their own decks near the top of the rankings. However, if you’re looking for something with more variety in strategy than just an aggressive “go face” deck, Steel Wolves may be your best bet. They have both strong early game heroes and some late game powerhouses to make sure they can always put up a fight against any opponent.
We hope you enjoyed this Harbingers Tier List, and we’ll see you next time!

The Harbingers Tier List is a ranking system that measures the strength of a faction in Masks and Magic. The higher up on this list you are, the more powerful your Faction’s creatures become as they level-up. This index is based off of statistics from official matches played during season one. I’ve also included my personal opinion about each Faction for some added insight into what might be most effective when playing against them or if you’re just looking to get started with something new!
It should be noted that there will not be any updates after Season One has ended because no new content was released over the summer months and so it would be unfair to rank the Factions after only seeing them for a single season.
The Harbingers Tier List is as follows, with my personal opinion being in parentheses:
Druid (M): The Druid’s abilities are fairly balanced and their creatures also have some of the best available stats in Masks and Magic. This made it possible to play Druids against any Faction without fear of losing too early on in Season One! I would recommend this tier one faction if you’re just getting started with Masks and Magic or want something that will work well no matter who your opponent might be.
Lucian Alliance (PvE): Although they didn’t make it into first place, there was almost nothing else more consistent than playing
the Lucian Alliance against the Harbingers in Season One. In fact, they were one of my favorite factions to play and I didn’t lose a single game with them! The only thing that makes me hesitant is that their deckbuilding through web-client might be clunky for beginners; however, it’s also worth mentioning there are some other players who feel this has always been an advantage as you can see what your opponent has before playing out any cards from your own hand.
Vladimir (M): Vladimir was another great tier two faction at the beginning of Masks and Magic because their creatures had high stats for their cost. However, after having played more rounds against different people using these types of decks it became apparent that not all of their cards are viable. Actually, some of them were so strong they would be tier one by themselves! The main reason Vladimir is a tier two faction now is because it has an expensive deck building cost and the only way to acquire more harbingers for your decks is through buying card packs or using web-client (which isn’t that user friendly).
In general Boris’s suggestion was spot on. I loved playing as Vladamir but after reading this article about how hard my opponent could read me before even having played any cards from his own hand made me reconsider going down that path again in Season Two.
